1. Get a quote. Most Atlanta granite countertops installation companies offer free in-home estimates.
We invite you to schedule us and several other companies to compare prices. You will find
Stone Improvements
truly offers the highest quality stone for the lowest possible price.
2. Once you decide where to purchase your granite countertops, select a color compatible with the décor
of your home. Since granite countertops are natural, color variation, pitting, and hairline cracks are common.
This adds to the natural beauty of your stone. Therefore, your granite countertops will not be identical
to the showroom sample. Stone Improvements
encourages you to choose your own slab directly from one of our suppliers.
3. Next, decide on a sink. Undermount sinks are the most common. We offer a selection of sinks from
Chemcore at unbeatable prices.
You must provide your fabricator with sink templates, so it is important to purchase your sinks before work begins.
4. Choose a thickness. Granite countertops are either two or three centimeters (3/4 or 1 inch) thick.
Thicker granite countertops are not any more expensive, but are stronger and more attractive.
Two-centimeter countertops usually require extra support and laminated edges. We strongly recommend 3cm
for most residential applications.
5. Determine what type of granite countertop edges you want. Consider cabinet detail and other
architectural features of your home when making this decision. The most common edge from high to low-end projects
is an eased edge.
6. Make sure you are informed of the placement of any seams and, if necessary, the placement of your templates
on the slabs prior to cutting.
